
Talk about your matches made somewhere not quite heaven.
Two of the most recognized sports teams — the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys — have formed a sports business company with Goldman Sachs Group (GS) and a Texas private equity firm to provide fans with a better stadium experience.
Goldman, CIC Partners in Dallas and the two teams said Monday that Legends Hospitality Management will offer a broad range of sports business services. It will focus initially on catering, concessions, retail merchandising and other services for major sports and entertainment facilities.
All the more reason to go to a Yankee game next year knowing that 1/4 of what I spend goes right to Jerry Jones (above) and another 1/4 to Hank Steinbrenner (below). Maybe my fears are unwarranted though and this is a pro bono venture. After all, the header says "Yankees, Cowboys, Goldman look to improve fan experience". What could go wrong?
